Crochet for gifts?
I am working on a clutch. I decided to make one out of Red Heart camouflage acrylic yarn. It's taking me a bit to get it right but Si figure after I'be made one, I can make several. So maybe they can be gifts for the holidays. We'll see how it goes.

The Happy Hooker
I am thrilled to say that I finally got the Stitch'n Bitch crochet book that I've wanted for so long! It's really awesome & I've decided to challenge myself by doing it page by page until I learn it all. I am pretty excited. It's a daunting task but I am truly excited.

Crafting Hiatus...well, sort of.
I haven't "made" anything in a while. Well, a few cards. And then that lovely T-shirt at Vacation Bible school. But other than that, I haven't made anything. Too many irons in the fire with baby, church, new job and attempting to launch a new business.
I do plan to schedule a session with my girl, Kerry, soon, and I also hope to do some crafts with the kids at church. But other than that, I'm on a crafting hiatus. Unless, of course, I can get a crochet group going at church. Then, maybe, I could mix my hobby with my job. That would be cool! So we'll see. Okay, so I guess I'm on a crochet hiatus.
I'd really like to make some more t-shirts...that was really fun. Hmmmm.

Teaching Crochet?
I went to the closing events for my son's Vacation Bible School and I brought a project with me. I'm currently working on a baby blanket using the diagonal box stitch. The tween girls seemed pretty impressed with my work and wanted to know if I could teach them. Since I don't go to church there, I suggested they check in with my mother-in-law and get something arranged. I told them I'd be happy to teach them.
My question: Do I know enough to teach some tweens how to crochet? I'm thinking a scarf is a good starter.
I'm excited to get the chance to spend some time with these girls, hear their stories and teach them a skill that gives them confidence and a cool hobby.

Why I Love YouTube: How to make Plarn! by aephemera
I now have a use for the giant bag of bags in my utility closet. LOL! I am going to be a trashion designer! I'm thinking totebags, purses, vests, a tie, wallets, pocketbooks, picnic blankets, shoe covers, table cloths, rugs...the possibilities are endless. Obnoxious and free fun for everyone!!! *cue maniacal laughter*
